Mazatlan FC is gearing up for the Apertura 2025 season of Liga MX with its participation in the International Football Cup, a quadrangular tournament to be held from July 1 to 6 at the Estadio Luis Pirata Fuente in Veracruz.

The event will feature Cruz Azul (Mexico), Once Caldas (Colombia), and Newell’s Old Boys (Argentina), offering an international challenge for the Cañoneros before the start of the season.
Who will be in charge of Mazatlan?
Jaime Ordiales, the sporting director of the Mazatlan team, was present at the tournament presentation. This event will be the first competition for the team under the command of its new technical director, Robert Dante Siboldi.
When will the matches take place?
The Cañoneros will play their first match on Thursday, July 3 at 6:00 PM against Newell’s Old Boys; the second match of the tournament will take place on the same day at 8:00 PM between Cruz Azul and Once Caldas.

What's next for Mazatlan?
The matches for third place and the final will take place on Sunday, July 6; the game for third place will be held at 4:00 PM, while the match for the title will be at 6:00 PM. Tickets will be available starting June 1, with prices from 800 pesos.
