Mazatlán FC has the guarantee of being present in the FIFA Date of this week, as three of its elements were called up by their respective national teams. The first of them is Yoel Bárcenas, who was called by the coach of the national team of Panama, Thomas Christiansen, to participate in the two preparation matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The two matches they will play will be against the South African national team, one of them on Friday, March 27, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, and later on Tuesday, March 31, at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town. On the other hand, Ángel Leyva was called up by the Mexico Under-23 national team to play two friendly matches. The first one will be against Pumas on Sunday, March 22, at La Cantera in Mexico City, and the second one will be on Monday, March 30, against Toluca Under-21 at the High Performance Center, also in Mexico City. Also, the goalkeeper of La Armería, Sergio Bernal, was called up to play with the Mexico Under-16 national team. Bernal will have to concentrate on Friday, March 27, to play the International Tournament “Mondial Football Monatigu 2026” in France. The matches of the Tricolor Under-16 team will start on March 31 against Portugal at the Emmanuel Murzeau Stadium in Fontenay-le Comte, France. The next commitment will be on April 2 against Peru also at the Emmanuel Murzeau Stadium, Fontenay-le Comte, France; another one will be on April 4 against Japan as a rival in the same stadium. The final of this tournament will be played on April 6 at the Maxime Bossis Stadium, Montaigu Vende in France.
